buuuuuurn

So, with AX approaching ever closer, I've recently decided to try gaining muscle tone so that I won't look like a beluga that happened to wash ashore in cosplay. Which I've come to realize will be extremely difficult because: 1)Asian, 2)female, 3)very unhealthy eater (which means I don't get enough of what I need to properly burn off blubber so that my muscles will actually, you know, show). It's been tough work, because it's tough to find motivation to exercise after a long school day. But I think I'm starting to adapt :3 If anything, I've discovered a fondness for salad (but not dressing, oddly enough I just can't stand any kind of dressing...). For me it's usually just the veggies and some grapes, tossed with lemon juice and black pepper and rock salt. Yum~

ORZ

My score was 110 songs out of 300. I wonder if I should be happy that I'm not in too deep yet...^^;

a fragment

She’s squatted off to the side of the playground contemplating a puddle; muddy brown eyes blankly stare back at her from shallow, semi-murky depths. The patched up umbrella that rests in the crook of her arm hardly protects her from the rain, not that she was making any effort to stay dry anyway. Damp brown ringlets of hair are clumped around the sides of her face like moss on a cliff side, droplets of water falling, falling, plop. Small squelches and squeaks made by her yellow rubber boots accompany even the slightest changes in weight that she makes.

A bigger shadow suddenly engulfs her own. No more rain is falling on her head, now sheltered by a giant red umbrella. The man carrying it pulls the collar of his coat higher up around his neck.

It’s too cold, he thinks offhandedly, before speaking.

“Nothing’s going to come out of there, Nikita.”

The girl looks up, brown eyes meeting blue. “But it’s still staring at me,” she replies.

“What is?”

“That.” She points to her reflection in the water.

He is silent for awhile, then kneels down to meet her eye to eye.

“Child, have you forgotten? This is the form you chose.”

She blinks. Sudden understanding. She looks back to her puddle. “Oh.”

He holds out his free hand to her. “Shall we be off then?”

“Okay.” She grasps his hand with both of her own, and the patchwork umbrella rolls away. They rise and walk away, the sound of steady loafer prints and squelchy rubber boots following their path in the patter of rain.

俺はぁ、イナ・バウア~、常に大ピンチ~…っとくらぁ。 (entry title has no relation to content :,D)

I'm not getting into college

Last day of senior workshop tomorrow. College app essays kill (=___= ) my draft was bleeding red ink by the time my reader was done with it otl

In happier news...guess what's out?

That's right.

C76 has come and gone. Aside from all those doujin albums and Touhou 12 and 12.3, I took it upon myself to attempt reading Episode 5 of Seakitties Mewling Umineko no Naku Koro ni (first arc of Chiru), using my poor Japanese skittles and a text hooker + translator combo with limited success. Episode 5's just been one epic bout of insanity after the other, dotted with delicious BatBeat fanservice fodder (d'aaww he helped her drink tea <333) iono

Episode 8 of will be watched once gg subs it. And...I lost my train of thought gah.

I am the Walrus

^He's eating a candy cigarette...probably

Well then, time to get this obligatory first post business over and done with, no?

This is actually my second attempt at blogging, the first time being on that one place called livejournal, where nowadays I find myself lurking communities more often than posting entries. This will probably be updated sporadically at best, considering my wondrous penchance for procrastination and such, with various thoughts, failure doodles and other things of that sort. More often than not, they'll be dealing in some way or another with East Asian culture, because yes, I like reading manga, and yes I love watching martial arts flicks, particularly of the wu xia variety.
